Lucky Random Number Generator

App help

Set your range, add the widget, and get back to your next pick.

Updated September 9, 2026 · iPhone, iPad and Android

Change the number range

  1. Open the app and finish the welcome screen if it appears.
  2. On the large number screen, swipe upward to open the range controls.
  3. Enter your minimum and maximum. For 30 numbered entries, use 1 and 30.
  4. Dismiss the keyboard and close the range sheet. Tap the number screen to draw again.

Your last range stays on this device for the next time you open the app. The minimum and maximum are both included: a range of 1 to 6 can return any of those six integers.

Using the website instead? Edit the two fields at the top of the online generator, then tap its background or press the spacebar.

Add a Home Screen widget

Install and open Lucky Random Number Generator first, and set the range you want to use. The current iPhone and iPad widget requires iOS or iPadOS 17 or later.

iPhone and iPad

  1. Press and hold an empty part of the Home Screen until the icons start moving.
  2. Open Edit → Add Widget, or use the plus button on older system versions.
  3. Find Random Number Generator in the widget gallery. Choose an available size and add it.
  4. Place the widget where you want it and finish editing the Home Screen.

Tap the widget for another number. To change its range, open the app and edit the range there.

See Apple’s widget instructions for the controls on your system version.

Android

  1. Press and hold an empty area on your Home Screen and choose Widgets.
  2. Find Random Number Generator in the widget list.
  3. Press and hold its widget, then place it on your Home Screen.
  4. Tap the widget whenever you need another number. Change the range in the app, then tap the widget again.

Widget menus vary by phone and launcher. If the widget is missing, open the installed app once, check for an app update, then reopen the widget picker.

See Google’s Home Screen guide for general widget controls.

Why numbers sometimes repeat

Each tap makes a fresh draw from the same range. A previous result remains eligible, so a repeated number does not mean the app has stopped working.

For a session that excludes earlier results, use the website’s unique number generator. To draw a name or shuffle entries, use the name picker or list randomizer. Those are website tools.

Ads and purchase help

The app is free and includes a banner ad. Optional in-app purchases support development and remove ads. Number generation works offline; ads and purchases require an internet connection.

If you have already purchased ad removal, use the same Apple or Google account that made the purchase. On iOS, use Restore Purchases when it is shown in the purchase or range screen. On Android, reopen the app while connected so it can check your existing purchases.

If ads remain, or a restore option is unavailable, contact us below before purchasing again. Apple and Google purchases are handled separately; an entitlement bought on one store does not automatically transfer to the other.

For advertising and analytics data handling, read the privacy policy.
